Just like a bull… let loose into a china shop
The Network could be lost! (chorus)

Just like a bully…in a school yard fight!
This coup just ain’t right! (chorus)

Just like a master… makes his dog back off
Dan Siegel, please be wise! (chorus)
Tell Jose Fuentes, calm down and cool your jets!

Just like a traitor… knows how to betray!
We will not obey! (chorus)

These are the lyrics of a song sung at the door of the Pacifica National Office on 4-03-14 in the third week of an occupation in support of Pacifica Executive Director Summer Reese. Her 3 year contract was “terminated” without notice to the Pacifica National Board at an illegal “executive rump session,” without a performance review or cause stated as per the contract, and after two years of solid service as interim Executive Director. The action of the so-called “Save KPFA” clique threatens the financial well-being and organizational stability of the entire network. As the song says, “This is not the way to “Save KPFA!” The other four stations turned in their audited annual books. But KPFA has refused to do so and this is causing great speculation about their financial integrity at this rogue branch where the power coup was led. KPFA station and the Pacifica National Office are side-by- side on the same block on MLK Way.
