National Finance Committee Runs For The Hills

index

After meeting for all of 8 minutes to conclude they had no budgets, no update,  and nothing they could think of to do, Pacifica’s national finance committee adjourned their meeting.

The network’s audit hasn’t been started 12 months after the end of the fiscal year,  not a single budget has been reviewed 22 days before the start of the next fiscal year, no one has seen the tax return that was due on August 15th  and every financial statement produced in the last month has been declared inaccurate by hundreds of thousands of dollars but hey, why work?

  1. You nailed it Andrea. My thought is we need a friendly lawyer or two to sue the individuals on the board for something like malfeasance. The lawyers guild springs to mind… Note sue the individuals not the board since suing the board would probably drain the funds even further.

  2. They have NO plan. That’s the problem. Pacifica is a non-profit organization that is run as a collective. Too many board members have NO idea how to manage a non-profit. Too many burnt out hippies running the board. Pacifica is a dead man walking organization.

  3. Wow. This is what seizing control looks like. Allowing the complete collapse of the structure…and then all that can be done is to sell off assets. Based on my six years on the LSB, I have every reason to believe that these people have a plan and are executing it.
